Newark police seek the public's help identifying the pictured suspect in connection with a stabbing and shooting that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 15. At approximately 4:50 p.m., Newark police responded to the 300 block of Lyons Avenue on a call of shots fired. Responding officers found a juvenile stabbing victim who was taken to University Hospital for treatment. He is reportedly in stable condition. No other injuries have been reported. Police issued warrants for the arrests of two men and were trying to identify a third wanted in the choking of a Newark officer that led to a riot Friday, Aug. 5, authorities said. An officer was making an arrest on the 400 block of Elizabeth Avenue around 12:15 a.m., when he was grabbed by a man at the scene, Newark Public Safety Director Fitz Fragé said. Suspect At Large After Armed Robbery Of Elderly Woman In Newark
A suspect is at large following the armed robbery of an elderly woman in Newark. The man demanded the purse of a 73-year-old woman at gunpoint in the area of Elm Street and Pulaski Street around 2:40 p.m. Friday, according to Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara. After stealing the woman's purse and hiding it under his red hoodie, the man dragged her to the ground, O'Hara said. He then fled, running eastbound on Elm Street, authorities said. A 16-year-old girl has been reported missing out of Newark. Police are seeking the public's help in locating Kamaya Hill, who was reported missing out of the 100 block of Peshine Avenue, local police said. She was last seen Sunday at the corner of Irvine Turner Boulevard and Avon Avenue. Kamaya, who suffers from poor mental health, is described as 5’11” and 220 pounds. Hackensack Man Wanted For Aggravated Assault, Police Pursuit In Newark
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 33-year-old Hackensack man in Newark, authorities said. Roy Wilson was charged with two counts of aggravated assault for an incident that occurred Nov. 26, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. Police responded Schuyler Avenue near Nye Avenue on reports of a weapon fired following an argument around 9:15 p.m., Ambrose said.
