Elijah Gadsden, 82, was last seen at 4:30 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Shepherd Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.

He was last seen wearing blue work pants, a white t-shirt, blue sneakers and a black cap.

He is 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has short, bushy gray hair, a gray mustache and brown eyes. 

Anyone with information about Elijah Gadsden is urged to call the Newark police's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.

Anonymous tips may also be made using the Police Division’s website or through the Newark Police Division Smartphone App available at iTunes and Google Play.
