Pickup Slams Into Utility Pole Near Route 46 Entrance In Lodi
A two-vehicle crash Monday morning sent a pickup truck head-on into a utility pole near eastbound Route 46 in Lodi, authorities said. The pickup continued on after the initial crash at Harrison Avenue and Outwater Lane before ramming the pole near the Saddle Brook border, Lt. Robert Salerno said. Injuries were minor and police were investigating, Salerno said. Meanwhile, Outwater Lane remained closed between Westminster Pl to the Route 46 ramp while the wreckage was removed and PSE&G repaired the pole.

UPDATE: A 17-year-old River Vale driver who had to be removed through the sunroof after a crash split a utility pole in two -- knocking out power to the area -- received a careless driving summons, police said. UPDATE: A 20-year-old Wyckoff driver wasn't injured after he fell asleep behind the wheel and his car rolled into a utility pole, closing a major Mahwah road through the night and into mid-Monday afternoon. Campgaw Road was reopened around 2 p.m. Monday, roughly 14 hours after the Camgaw Road crash at Seminary Road, Police Chief James N. UPDATE: Allendale police were investigating a rollover crash Monday that took out a utility pole, sent the driver to the hospital with minor pains and closed a main road for hours. : Commercial Van Splits Utility Pole, Closes Busy Fairview Road
A commercial van shattered a utility pole Tuesday afternoon in Fairview, closing a busy thoroughfare. The driver walked away unscathed after his van split the pole -- downing wires along with the transformer -- on Fairview Avenue near the Bergen Boulevard underpass around 2:30 p.m. Fairview Avenue remained indefinitelky closed in both directions while PSE&G made repairs, Police Capt. Vincent Bellucci said. The van, owned by a South Hackensack marble and granite company, sustained front-end damage.
