Old Tappan Man Jailed For Domestic Assault Released By Judge
A 32-year-old Old Tappan resident was charged with a domestic assault, authorities reported. Patrick Santos, 32, was arrested around midnight Feb. 12 after Sgt. Katie Weaver and Officer Andrew Kim "responded to a medical assistance call and learned the victim had been injured due to an earlier domestic-related incident," Old Tappan Police Chief Joseph Tracy said. A 22-year-old Secaucus man who was already known to Lyndhurst police was nabbed following what began as a shoplifting and turned into a robbery, authorities said. Daniel Soto punched and then spit on an employee of a Riverside Avenue store who confronted him on Sunday, Jan. 21, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said. An East Orange ex-convict who fired a gun inside a party he'd been kicked out of killing an innocent victim has been sentenced to time in prison. Jashon Allen, 34, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter for killing Daimeir Nelson at the Lincoln Street bash on Oct. 27, 2020, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II said.
