Ridgefield Pedestrian Struck By Van From Palisades Park
A 45-year-old Ridgefield pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk by a left-turning van Monday night, authorities said. The borough resident was brought to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren’t considered life threatening after he was struck by a 2016 Ford Traverse shortly after 8 p.m. as he crossed Broad Avenue at Edgewater Avenue, Deputy Police Chief Robert Meurer said. Authorities: Paramus Driver, 77, Crashes Sedan Into Ridgewood Police Car At Accident Scene
A 77-year-old driver from Paramus was hospitalized after her sedan hit two cars, one of them a Ridgewood police vehicle that was stopped following another crash. The original crash occurred Monday afternoon at Linwood Avenue and Paramus Road. Police were investigating that accident when the second crash occurred. The Paramus driver, who wasn’t seriously injured, was issued a careless driving summons, police said. Her Mercury Sable had to be towed. No police were reportedly injured.

Pedestrian Struck Crossing Route 46 In Saddle Brook
A Saddle Brook man was struck crossing Route 46 Monday afternoon, authorities said. The middle-aged victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening after he was struck around 4 p.m. Police Chief Robert Kugler said. Driver Run Over By Own Car In Franklin Lakes
A driver broke her leg in several places when she was run over by her own car Friday afternoon in Franklin Lakes, police said. The 40-year-old woman had gotten out of the vehicle on Terrace Road thinking it was in park when the door knocked her down and a tire ran over her ankle, Police Capt. John Bakelaar said. She was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson with multiple leg fractures, he said.

Wyckoff Pedestrian Hospitalized After Crash
A 57-year-old Wyckoff resident was hospitalized with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening after being struck by a car Thursday night, authorities said. The victim was crossing Crescent Avenue going east when she was struck around 6:40 p.m. by the vehicle as its driver – a 38-year-old Wyckoff woman – turned left from eastbound Franklin Avenue, Lt. Pedestrian, 44, Fatally Struck By Passing Car On Garden State Parkway In Union County
A 44-year-old female pedestrian was struck and killed by a passing car Sunday night in on the Garden State Parkway in Union County, authorities said. A 26-year-old Newark man was headed northbound in a Nissan Altima when it struck Telisa Holman of Irvington near milepost 141.8 around 10 p.m., NewJersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. The driver of the Nissan Dominic Singh, 26, was uninjured, and it was not clear why Holman was in the lanes of traffic, Marchan said. Investigations are ongoing.

Driver Survives Wild Route 80 Rollover
A driver survived a wild crash off Route 80 in South Hackensack before dawn Friday with no serious injuries, responders said. The vehicle missed the Exit 65 ramp on the westbound highway around 4:30 a.m., then went through a fence and a creek before rolling over and coming to rest on Wesley Street, they said. The exit was closed pending an investigation by New Jersey State Police. The driver sustained only a minor injury, responders said. A 93-year-old driver from Fort Lee was hospitalized after a Wednesday crash in Englewood, authorities said. The woman was turning right from eastbound Van Nostrand Avenue onto southbound Broad Avenue when her 2007 Lexus collided with a 2002 Dodge Durango driven by a 35-year-old Belleville resident shortly before 3:30 p.m., Deputy Police Chief Gregory Halstead said. A 14-year-old Tenafly boy was treated for a minor injury after being struck by a sedan early Thursday at a busy borough intersection. Police: Jaywalking Wood-Ridge Pedestrian, 72, Struck In Hackensack
A 72-year-old Wood-Ridge man struck by a vehicle while jaywalking Thursday morning in Hackensack, authorities said. The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with minor injuries after being struck shortly before 8:30 a.m. while crossing Atlantic Street near Main Street, police Capt. Authorities: Driver Blows Stop Sign, Hits Waldwick Public Works Truck
A Waldwick driver whose vehicle collided with a borough DPW truck early Friday admitted that she blew a stop sign, authorities said. The 58-year-old driver was headed south on Ridge Street when her vehicle collided with the truck at the intersection of East Prospect Street shortly before 8 a.m., Police Chief Mark Messner said. She was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood after complaining of back pain, the chief said. The truck driver was OK, he said.

Female Students Struck By Paterson Driver Crossing Outside Clifton High School
Two students were struck crossing the street outside Clifton High School early Friday, authorities said. The girls -- one 15, the other 17 -- were in the crosswalk on Colfax Avenue at Lindenwold Avenue when they were struck by a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Paterson man shortly before 7 a.m., Detective Lt.
