A New Jersey bakery has received an influx of sweet support after receiving a bitter anti-Pride letter in the mail. Sweet n' Fancy Emporium on South Avenue East in Cranford a letter in the mail earlier this month, signed by the Citizens of Cranford. : NJ School District Failed To Address Bullying Leading To Transgender Student’s Suicide
The mother of a high school student in Somerset County has filed a lawsuit claiming that the district failed to take action against the bullying and harassment leading up to her transgender child’s death by suicide. Myles A. Fitzpatrick died by suicide on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022 at the age of 17, just months before he would’ve graduated from Manville High School. Hunterdon County high school track star, impassioned artist, and self-taught musician Jax Carey died on Monday, Sept. 26 at the age of 16. Born in Morristown, Jax lived in Califon and attended Voorhees High School as a Junior. Jax was a skilled member of the high school’s track team and enjoyed participating in the hurdle events. A volunteer with the Valley View Chapel in Long Valley as well as several nursing homes, Jax was known for having an incredibly giving heart and soul. He died on Aug. 24 at 23 years old -- but his legacy lives on, thanks to a GoFundMe launched by Gabrielle Rodriguez in his memory. Lilly Trentacosta first started Lillypops, her own lollipop and cotton candy company in 2017, with help from her father. Support is pouring in for the co-founder of Passaic County's first craft brewery after suffering a stroke. More than $13,300 had been raised on a GoFundMe for Steve Bauer, who helped the mayor cut the ribbon on Ghost Hawk Brewing Company in Clifton last April.
