PalPark Police Charge Fort Lee Driver In Hit-Run That Severely Injured Pedestrian
The search for a hit-and-run driver who severely injured a 60-year-old Palisades Park woman crossing a borough street last November ended with the arrest of a Fort Lee man, authorities said. Abdullah Karabulut, 46, was identified by Detective Martin Kim following a two-month investigation, said Capt. Shawn Lee, the officer in charge of the department. East Coast Luxury Car Theft Ring Smashed By PalPark Detectives
What at first seemed like a run-of-the-mill package theft led Palisades Park detectives to an organized theft ring that used bogus IDs to buy high-end luxury cars, authorities said. Jeon Kichul, a 43-year-old Korean national, was arrested last December after Detective David Chun identified him as the porch pirate who swiped a package containing a baseball glove from outside a resident’s home, Capt. Palisades Park police responding to an attempted home burglary nabbed a suspect a short time later, authorities said. Borough resident Tomas Castrolarios, 23, was spotted near the corner of Hillside Avenue and West Edsall Boulevard following the aborted break-in on Highland Avenue shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Detective Lt. Palisades Park police said they nabbed a vehicle burglar from the borough early Thursday thanks to a resident’s quick call.
