75-Year-Old Driver Hospitalized After Runaway SUV Crashes Through Fences In Glen Rock
A 75-year-old driver was hospitalized Thursday after her SUV ran off the road, crashed through several fences and wound up wedged against fencing and shrubs in Glen Rock. An ambulance took the driver to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with injuries that responders said weren't considered life-threatening after the Ackerman Avenue crash. A flatbed tow truck removed the damaged vehicle from the scene. Glen Rock police were joined by Ridgewood police, firefighters and EMS. Boyd A. Loving took the photos and contributed to this story.

Prosecutor: Bogota Couple Sold Goods Stolen In Dozens Of Cellphone, Cosmetic Store Burglaries
A Bogota husband-and-wife team fenced goods stolen during dozens of burglaries of North Jersey cellphone and cosmetics stores, said authorities who arrested nine people during a massive law enforcement response. The victimized business included: Verizon stores on Route 17 North in East Rutherford and East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood; an AT&T store on westbound Route 46 in Lodi; a cosmetics store on Van Brundt Street in Englewood. : Two Hospitalized, RR Sign Smashed In Midland Park Crash
Two victims were hospitalized and a railroad crossing sign was flattened in a Thursday afternoon crash in Midland Park. Both were taken by ambulances to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with injuries that responders said weren’t life-threatening after the cross at Goffle Road and Lake Avenue. Ridgewood Responders Free Impaled Deer
An impaled buck dashed off after Ridgewood police and public workers freed him from a fence Friday morning. The deer was caught on the fence outside a private Prospect Street home, bringing village police and Signal Division workers. A man was seriously injured after an SUV slammed into a parked utility trailer he was in Wednesday afternoon in Ridgewood. Chase Ends With Paramus Police Car Crash Outside Route 17 Starbucks
A pursuit that began in Ridgewood ended with the driver's arrest outside a Route 17 Starbucks in Paramus after a crash with a police car, authorities said. Joseph Dunsay, 40, of Hackensack was speeding while approaching a construction zone Thursday when a village officer tried to stop him, Ridgewood Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said. Dunsay made his way onto southbound Route 17 during what Luthcke said became a low-speed pursuit. Drugged Newark Man, 26, Walks Into Ridgewood School
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Amid mounting reports of potential threats to schools and finding ways of keeping danger from getting in, a Ridgewood school had an alarming visitor of its own. One night last week, a 26-year-old Newark man under the influence of some type of drug walked into the Hawes Elementary School and asked for directions Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke revealed Thursday. Three-Vehicle Collision Sends Car Crashing Into Midland Park Home
MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- A three-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon sent a sedan crashing into a Midland Park house. Damage to the single-family home at the corner of Franklin and Vreeland avenues initially appeared minimal. Midland Park EMS personnel tended to at least two of the drivers.
