Police Track Down Home Invaders After Wrong-Way Route 23 Pursuit In Stolen BMW
A 22-year-old man is in custody, and two others are at large, following a New Jersey home invasion and high-speed pursuit in a stolen BMW, police said. Police were called to 6 Cambridge Road in Pompton Lakes around 2:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, after residents reported three men entered their house and then stole their 2023 BMW M8 Gran Coupe from their driveway, police said. : College Freshman From Bayonne Charged After Bergen Hit-And-Run Holdup
Authorities believe they've cracked a series of Facebook Marketplace robberies with the arrest of a tennis-playing college freshman who they said struck and seriously injured a Bergen County victim with his car before speeding off. Yassine G. Rahi, 18, of Bayonne created bogus Facebook accounts offering PlayStation 5 consoles for sale, arranged meetings with buyers and robbed them, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. A criminal trio who've been arranging meetups around New York City to rob hard-to-find PlayStation 5s may have struck in Fort Lee, investigators said. The NYPD released surveillance images this weekend of a man with an Air Jordan tattoo on his neck whom they identified as the ringleader.
