A 17-year-old Clinton Township resident has been charged on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in connection with a crash in August in Franklin Township that killed 16-year-old Sophia Detorres on the first day of school. An investigation found that the driver was speeding and failed to stop at a designated stop sign just before the collision at Hogback Road and Lower Lansdown Road in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée Robeson and Chief of Detectives Timothy Drew, said. A former New Jersey resident is facing charges in a golf cart crash that killed a bride and injured her groom on their wedding night. A boys high school lacrosse player was flown to a local hospital with a head injury during a game Saturday, April 23, NJ Advance Media reports. The North Hunterdon High School varsity player was struck in the head during a home game against Ridge High School around 10 a.m., the outlet said.
