Did you feel it North Jersey? A 1.7 magnitude earthquake in Astoria, NY was felt all the way up in North Jersey on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 2, according to the US Geological Survey. The earthquake was felt in Pompton Plains, Parsippany, West Orange, Union, Holmdel, Fort Lee, Ridgewood and Paterson, the USGS map shows. Police Involved Shooting Kills Man In Fort Lee: AG
Police shot and killed a man Saturday morning, Feb. 4, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin said. The incident unfolded at a home on John Street around 8:15 a.m., and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, at 10:39 a.m., Platkin said. According to NBC4, the man was possibly armed with a knife and had been visiting family from Las Vegas. One officer was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries after struck by a ricocheting bullet, the outlet said. Orsolya Gaal's former handyman David Bonola has been arrested and charged in her grisly murder last weekend at her Forest Hills home, multiple news reports say. Bonola, 44, arrived at the112th NYPD precinct Thursday, April 21 for questioning and is facing charges of murder, criminal tampering, and possession of a weapon. A plane carrying members of the US Army Golden Knights evacuated the US Capitol Wednesday, April 20, authorities said. Police arrested a man holding his girlfriend hostage after tracking his vehicle down in Bayonne during a tense pursuit that began in Secaucus Monday, authorities said.
