Two individuals who were in the area of an anti-Semitic attack on a Starbucks sign in Glen Rock were being sought by the police who turned to the public for help. At this point, both are being characterized as "potential witnesses" to the Feb. 19th bias-related vandalism at the Starbucks in the borough's Central Business District, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. "It is our hope that these two may be able to assist us in our investigation," the chief said. A third member of an organized New York State shoplifting ring from more than 50 miles away was identified and charged by police in Glen Rock, authorities said. There will be more, they said. Two determined Glen Rock detectives identified, located and charged a Queens man with the vicious robbery of a 66-year-old Bergenfield man last spring in the parking lot of the warehouse where he works. The victim was carrying what police described as a “substantial” amount of cash when two robbers accosted him in broad daylight at the De Boer Drive warehouse last June 16. Route 208 was temporarily shut down in both directions after someone apparently fired a shot through the window of the Bank of America building in Glen Rock. Police found a bullet hole in the fourth-floor window at the bank's wealth management and private banking office building on Harristown Road around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20.
