40 Firefighters Control 2-Alarm Blaze That Injured 1, Damaged Fair Lawn Home: Police A two-alarm fire left a Fair Lawn family's home damaged and sent one firefighter to the hospital Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 23, authorities said. Firefighters were called to the home on the 35 block of Lindwood Road at approximately 2:40 p.m., where smoke and flames were found in the back of the home, local police said. A second alarm was transmitted, bringing a mutual aid response to the borough. Fire crews from Paterson, Saddle Brook, Elmwood Park, and Paramus staffed Fair Lawn fire stations during the fire call and responded to one additional call while providing coverage. The fire …
