Teen Girl Dismembered In Boating Accident Off NJ Coast, Report Says
A boating accident was under investigation at a New Jersey beach, police said Sunday, Aug. 25. Harvey Cedars police did not detail that accident and said only that it was "tragic" and under investigation with New Jersey State Police. According to NBC Philadelphia citing a source, a teen girl was dismembered after being run over by the boat, operated by her father. Armed Robbers Held Victims Captive In NJ Hotel Bathroom: Police
Two men were arrested while one remains at large following an armed captivity and robbery of three victims in a Secaucus hotel room last month, authorities said. Nyshiem O. Inmon met with the three victims in their hotel room at the Aloft hotel on Harmon Meadow Boulevard, around 3 a.m. on Jan. 26, before Lyemel Summerville and another suspect barged in with handguns, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. A man was in the roadway when he was struck and killed on Route 18 by a police car before dawn Sunday, authorities confirmed. The East Brunswick officer was on duty and in uniform when the marked vehicle struck the man in front of the AAA Insurance center on the northbound highway at 3:35 a.m., Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew J. Dozens Displaced In Jersey City Fire, Chief Says Blaze 'Suspicious'
A fire that tore through four houses in Jersey City early Friday morning is under control, a city spokeswoman said. The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. on Wade Street near Rutgers Avenue and went to four alarms before it was contained. Two firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation and returned to duty. Man's Body Found Hanging From Passaic Bridge
A man's body was found hanging early Tuesday morning from an NJ Transit bridge near the Passaic train station. The body was found around 6:30 a.m. on the Passaic Avenue bridge about a hundred yards from the station, NJ Transit's Nathan Rudy said. The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, which was investigating, didn't immediately say whether homicide or suicide was suspected. A Medical Examiner was to determine cause of death. Woman's Body Found In Vacant Totowa Home
A woman's body was found inside of a vacant multi-family home in Totowa on Tuesday, authorities said. Police were called to the Totowa Road home just before 1:30 p.m. on reports of a strange odor, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Totowa Police Chief Robert Coyle. There is no indication that the death of the unidentified individual is suspicious, authorities said.
