Police ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Route 46 In Teterboro As Garfield Woman
UPDATE: A 59-year-old Garfield woman was identified Tuesday as the pedestrian who was struck and killed on a treacherous stretch of Route 46 in Teterboro the day before. Fetije Lickollari was crossing away from the crosswalk when she was struck by a Chrysler 300 on the highway’s eastbound side near Industrial Avenue shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday, Moonachie Police Chief Richard Behrens said. Deaf, Blind Dog Dumped In Bergen Industrial Area Last Year Dies
UPDATE: A deaf and blind senior dog who authorities said was dumped from a car in Teterboro last summer by her Fort Lee owner died Tuesday. Someone in another car saw Bruna, 16, being dumped on Industrial Avenue on Sept. 1 and gave authorities the license plate number and a description of the vehicle, Bergen County SPCA officials said at the time. A Good Samaritan found the black and white Boston Terrier during a search and brought her to the Bergen County Animal Shelter. TETERBORO, N.J. -- Authorities released a photo of a black Ford Focus that they said struck and killed a 28-year-old Teaneck man as he crossed Route 46 near the Teterboro Walmart earlier this month and another car that picked up the driver.
