Ibuprofen Doesn't Make Covid-19 Symptoms Worse, Experts Say Despite the social media warnings, there’s no proof that over-the-counter ibuprofen can increase the risk of coronavirus or make the symptoms worse, experts say. Taking ibuprofen (Advil or Mortrin) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) to treat pain or fever won't increase the risk of getting COVID-19 or worsen the symptoms, the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases said.
