Anthony James Mosley, 57, had been held on Rikers Island on an arrest warrant out of Elmwood Park since Oct. 29 pending extradition to New Jersey , Police Chief Michael Foligno said. Elmwood Park PD: Fleeing Tenafly Driver Who Nearly Dragged Officer Caught Elmwood Park police tracked down and arrested a Tenafly motorist who they said sped off, nearly dragging a uniformed officer with him, following a Friday morning traffic stop. William Ennis, 27, was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, eluding and obstruction of justice. Falling Tree Hits Car, Blocks River Road In Elmwood Park ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- The driver was OK after a falling tree struck a vehicle in Elmwood Park during Thursday night's rainstorm, authorities said. Borough firefighters and EMS workers cut up the tree and cleared River Road at Martha Avenue after the tree fell just before 9:30 p.m. Police Chief Michael Foligno said. River Road traffic in both directions was temporarily diverted, the chief said. The driver escaped without injury, but the vehicle had to be towed, he said.

Elmwood Park Police Revive Garfield OD Victim, 19, Found Face-Down In Snow ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Elmwood Park police revived a 19-year-old overdose victim found face-down in the snow early Tuesday evening. It took two rounds of Narcan from Officer Chris Finn to help bring the unconscious victim around after he was found around 5 p.m. on Mill Street, Police Chief Michael Foligno said. The Elmwood Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps took him to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson. A resident who witnessed the save praised police and EMTs for their fast and decisive work in rescuing the victim.
