Dozens Of Bergen County Priests Accused Of Sexual Abuse, NJ Diocese Reveals The Catholic Church in New Jersey on Wednesday released a list of allegedly abusive priests. Cardinal Joseph Tobin, the archbishop of Newark, in November announced there would be a "complete review" of abuse allegations and establishment of a victim compensation fund and counseling program. The list follows a two-year investigation that found more than 1,000 victims spanning 70  years -- along with evidence of a coverup by some church leaders.
