These Two New Jersey Counties Flipped From Red To Blue In 2020
As President Joe Biden cruised to victory in New Jersey in the 2020 presidential election, he got some help from two counties that went his way after voting for former President Donald Trump in 2016: Morris and Gloucester.
Morris County went to Biden, 51.14% to 46.90%, 153,881 votes to 141,134 votes. It was a remarkable turnaround for a county that hadn't voted Democrat at the presidential level since Lyndon Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater in 1964.
In 2016, Morris County voted for Trump, who defeated Clinton 126,071 votes to 115,249 votes, 49.72% to 45.46%.

Former New Jersey Gov. Brendan Byrne Dies At 93
HACKENSACK, N.J. – Former New Jersey Gov. Brendan Byrne died Thursday. He was 93.
“We ask all New Jerseyans to put Governor Byrne and his family in your prayers tonight,” Gov. Chris Christie said in a statement Thursday.
Byrne had a long career of public service, serving as counsel to Governor Meyner, Deputy Attorney General, Essex County Prosecutor, Superior Court Judge and two-term Governor of New Jersey.
