Tense Standoff With Knife-Wielding Hackensack Woman Ends Peacefully: Police A suicidal woman pulled a kitchen knife and pointed it at herself during a tense standoff before Hackensack police peacefully disarmed her, authorities said. Responding to an attempted-suicide call in the 300 block of Prospect Avenue, Sgt.
