A body washed up along the shore at Seaside Park on Wednesday morning, Sept. 6, authorities said. The body of Wilmer Chavez, 31, of Howell, was recovered off the G Street beach, Seaside Park police said. Chavez was among a group of swimmers who were struggling in the ocean around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3 off Stockton Avenue. Skull Fracture Among Injuries Suffered In Lakewood Carnival Accident
Three people were hospitalized, including one with a possible skull fracture, after an accident at a Lakewood carnival Monday, April 9, authorities said. Two other people sustained less serious injuries at the event, according to Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith, a Lakewood Police Department spokesman.
