Tenafly Teen Faces Hearing For Bottle-Throwing Injury

A 17-year-old Tenafly girl was headed for a hearing in the Family Division of state court in Hackensack after police said she threw a glass bottle at another teen, hitting her in the head.

An investigation was continuing.

The Aug. 25 home assault sent the victim to the hospital for stitches, Tenafly Police Capt. Michael deMoncada told Daily Voice late this afternoon.

Detectives took the alleged assailant into custody on Aug. 31 on a delinquency complaint of aggravated assault. She was released to her parents pending the hearing.
