ALPINE, N.J. -- A resident and home health care aide safely fled a basement fire in Alpine overnight.
The blaze brought out at a Litchfield Way home at 3:19 a.m. Police Chief Chris Belcolle told Daily Voice.
"Upon arrival, the homeowner and home healthcare aid met our officers at the front door of the residence," the chief said. "Neither of them sustained injury."
Responding with Alpine police and firefighters were firefighters from Closter, Demarest and Harrington Park, along with the Closter and Demarest volunteer ambulance corps and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center ALS unit.
