A PAPD officer stopped the 2007 Chevrolet Malibu at the tunnel toll plaza for having an obstructed windshield and immediately smelled pot when 39-year-old Willie Parrine Jr. opened the window, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

Parrine, whose clothing reeked of pot, admitted having recently smoked some, Pentangelo said.

Ordered out of the car, he failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of DUI and reckless driving, he said. Police also issued several summonses.

The boy was released to a family member, Pentangelo said.
