Sonora Walters was being held on $55,000 cash bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated assault with a weapon.

Her 30-year-old sometime beau was hospitalized with injuries that police said weren’t life-threatening after yesterday morning’s incident.

Keys was in Chicago, where she finished the American leg of her “Set the World on Fire” last night. She begins a string of European dates next month.

Keys bought the mansion from Eddie Murphy for $12 million last October.

Walters “believed he was at a particular home on our East Side and was heading there to confront him,” Detective Capt. Tim Torell told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

He was driving her ’99 Honda Civic down the hill and Walters was coming the other way when she intentionally rammed her ’94 Mazda pick-up into the couple “at significant speed,” Torell said.

A man who was with Walters took off before police got there, but they know him, the captain said.

“We’ll be looking to speak with him very soon,” Torell said.

Walters was uninjured, he said.
