Joshua Jose Garcia, 25, “made threats to hire someone to kill several members of the NYPD” while being processed in Alpine after PIP officers picked him up in Monmouth County, Chief Michael Coppola told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.

Garcia became ill but refused medical attention from emergency medical workers, Coppola said.

He was then brought to the Bergen County Jail.

Garcia is due for a first court appearance on Monday on three charges of threatening to kill police.
