Officer Adam Temporale activated his emergency lights to try and pull over the green 2013 Toyota Rav4, which was headed northbound at a low rate of speed Monday afternoon, Police Chief Michael Coppola said.

The driver kept going, however.

Officers in an unmarked PIP police vehicle helped stop the SUV, afte which all three were taken into custody.

Officers “detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle and and were able to see drug paraphernalia in plain view,” Coppola said.

In preparing a search warrant for the vehicle, officer learned that it was carjacked Sunday night in Yonkers. So was a GPS unit that the trio was using, the chief said.

More pot was found in the SUV, he added.

The Bronx teen driver was taken to the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center on a complaint alleging attempting to elude police, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Taken to the county jail were 20-year-old Ruben Portes (above, left) of Monroe, NY, and Eddie J. Marte (right), 18, from the Bronx.

Both were charged with joy riding and possession pot and paraphernalia. Bail for each was $3,500.

An addition receiving stolen property count for the stolen GPS was pending, Coppola said.
