It was overnight when a man she’d met earlier year but didn’t want to go out with broke into her apartment, armed with a knife, and raped her, an Englewood woman told police. Soon after, city police had him in custody.

of Slocum Avenue, is being held on $750,000 bail at the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated sexual assault, burglary and weapon possession.

The woman told investigators she met Cifuentes several months ago through a mutual friend, but “after meeting him, did not have any further contact with him and was not associated with him in any other manner,” Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

His next day in court is scheduled for Dec. 8 in Englewood.
