Sgt. Kley Peralta stopped Rasheed Jerimine’s 2000 black BMW southbound on the parkway near Exit 4 in Alpine around noon Saturday, said Lt. Michael Coppola, the department commander.
During what Peralta said was a consented search, Peralta “discovered a yellow plastic bag which contained drug packaging equipment including over 100 pieces of small aluminum foil wraps, 2 digital scales and a false Pringles can that had a false bottom,” Coppola said.
Inside the can, he said, were two sandwich bags containing $2,500 worth of coke.
Jerimine was being held on $61,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail pending a scheduled court appearance tomorrow. He’s charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent and two similar paraphernalia counts.
