No one was believed struck in either, authorities said.

The first occurred around 11:30 p.m. Thursday outside a multi-family building in the 100 block of Lafayette Place, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell said.

The second occurred around 3:35 a.m. Saturday outside a residence on West Palisade Avenue near the Mattlage Place and Cleveland Street intersections, he said.

Shell casings and slugs were recovered from the surrounding streets and the façade of a one-family home, Torell said.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected what Torell deemed "significant" evidence.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-844-466-6789. Cash rewards are given out and all calls will remain confidential, the captain said.
