"She headed north on Tenafly Road and veered across the southbound lane, hitting the utility pole" directly in front of the Stillman Elementary School, Capt. Michael deMoncada told Daily Voice.

School was out when the crash occurred just before 3:30 p.m.

Tenafly police and firefighters were assisted by responders from surrounding towns.

Tenafly Road in that area was expected to be closed for several hours while PSE&G replaced the pole and repaired power lines.

No charges were immediately filed while an investigation continued, deMoncada said.
