Miguel Otero, 35, was charged by the NYPD with being a fugitive from justice and ordered held pending extradition to New Jersey after being served by
Detective Sgt. Gregory Martin and Detective Ana Bedoya.
Otero broke into a 2010 Porsche Panamera in the Windsor Park apartment complex on Route 4 East in Englewood and took $40,000 worth of professional photography equipment on Sept. 19, 2012, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told CLIFFVIEW PILOT tonight.
Detectives investigating the crime discovered blood inside the vehicle near a broken window that the New Jersey State Police Lab matched to Otero, Torell said.
By coincidence, Englewood detectives were also at the Bronx Supreme Court building with members of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office to pick up four of five men charged in the beating robbery of an Englewood gas station attendant earlier this year.
Marcus Hairston and Michael Lauture, both 18, along with 19-year-old Alonzo Richardson and Charles Ward, 21, were being held in the Bergen County Jail — Richardson on $100,000 bail and the other three on $150,000 bail each.
A fifth defendant, 18-year-old Tyquan Strother, was still awaiting extradition (SEE: NYC woman, 51, among six nabbed by Englewood police in gas station beating robbery).
