Joan Manuel Mendoza of Morris Avenue claimed to be “directly connected to a heroin mill operating from Washington Heights, just across the George Washington Bridge, after a tipster led investigators to him, Molinelli said.

An undercover officer first bought 20 bricks before agreeing to collect the larger shipment, the prosecutor said.

The Dominican native was arrested by Englewood police and detectives from Molinelli’s Narcotics Task Force when he arrived with the drugs to make the sale, he said.

Mendoza is being held on $100,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
