"It was nothing," Englewood Cliffs Police Chief Michael Cioffi told Daily Voice after 200 or so employees were briefly evacuated.

"Awhile back, the president of the company got a message from someone in Nigeria asking 'Did you get my package? It should blow up in your face'," the chief said.

"They were waiting for something, but it never came -- until today," he said.

"I'm holding it in my hand," Cioffi said. "It looks like a business proposal."

All were relieved that it was nothing, the chief said.

"These days we have to err on the side of caution," he said.

LG earlier this year said it was cutting the height of a new headquarters by nearly half after conservationists argued that it would mar the view of the Palisades.
