Miguel Capellan, 28, had a pound of pot in his car — along with his 4-year-old son — when authorities swooped in around 2:45 Thurday afternoon, Lt. Stephen Jones of the NJSP told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Capellan was pulled over on 67th Street in North Bergen.

Authorities obtained search warrants.

They found another pound in a Union City garage, along with the handguns, several stun guns, body armor, bulletproof vests and hollow-point ammunition, as well as large hockey-styled duffel bag filled with the cash, Jones said.

Additional cash, pot and steroids were found at his Galaxy Towers apartment, the lieutenant said.

Authorities seized three vehicles, he said.

The investigation began following a series of drug deals in the area.

Capellan was being held in the Hudson County Jail on a variety of offenses including child endangerment, money laundering, drug possession and distribution and weapons charges.
