The well-reviewed book tells the story of how her father, Russian immigrant Reuben Freed turned his restaurant into a landmark -- as attested to by the reminiscing reviewers of the book. Lindenblatt lived the story, and retells it compellingly. The Amazon blurb notes,
'Stop at the Red Apple' is at once an account of growing up in 1950s small-town America, a glimpse into the workings of a successful food operation, and a swan song to a glorious slice of bygone popular culture.
The session will begin at at 7:15 p.m., and Lindenblatt will also be available to sign copies of the book, which will be available to buy, after the talk.
