You can donate during the Oct. 28 Healing the Children Community event by ordering in person or through take-out, buying a gift card or making a direct donation from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Healing the Children New Jersey is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, founded in 1981, that provides donated medical care to children in need throughout New Jersey and worldwide. It claims to have cared for more cared for more than 34,000 children locally and globally.
"While the intrinsic value of our contribution to a chronically ill child is immeasurable, we expect to exceed three million dollars of pro bono medical care this year, thanks to hundreds of volunteers and the generosity of hospitals and medical professionals here and abroad," the organization sayd.
In its International Inbound program, HTCNJ recruits host families and arranges for children from throughout the world to travel to New Jersey to receive pro bono medical and surgical treatment.
A domestic aid program pays for prescription medications; measures children for eyeglasses, hearing aids and orthotics; and funds specialized child care and summer camp for children with developmental disabilities.
