Herzig, the owner of Core Dynamics Physical Therapy, describes her office as a combination of urologist, gynecologist/obstetrician, colorectal, gastroenterologist, physiatrist, pain management, psychotherapist, nutritionist and personal trainer.
Specialty areas include incontinence, vulvodynia, vaginismus, prostate issues, prolapse, prenatal and postpartum, pudendal neuralgia, interstitial cystitis, osteoporosis and biofeedback.
"Most patients still come in thinking they are the only ones with the pelvic floor issues; when I tell them our schedule is filled with people with similar conditions they are still in shock," she said.
"Although patients may occasionally present alike, we treat each one as an individual and with a whole body approach."
Passion is a key component Herzig shares with her staff of physical therapists as well as the administration.
"I love to educate people about what I do and about health in general," she added.
"There are few clinics which dedicate their practice to pelvic floor work, women's and men's health."
Though 70 percent of her clients are women, she also sees plenty of men, as well as teens and sometimes, young children.
She is about to open a second location in Hoboken as part of the Institute for Women's Health.
