Police ID Bicyclist Killed On Black Horse Pike, Police Say
A bicyclist was killed in a crash on Black Horse Pike on Friday, May 17, police said. Arthur Herz, 61, of Mays Landing entered the westbound lanes on a bicycle around 8:20 p.m. when he "made impact with" a 21-year-old man's Jeep Cherokee, Hamilton Township police said. It happened near milepost 45.5. Herz, who was not wearing a helmet was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jeep driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken via ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona for further evaluation. He was wearing his seatbelt. 'Be Diligent': ATM Skimmers Found In Wawa On Jersey Shore
Police in an Atlantic County township are looking out for skimming devices after two were found on ATMs in a gas station's convenience store, authorities said. Galloway police received a report of skimmers on two ATMs at the Wawa on West White Horse Pike in the Pomona section of the township, the department said in a Facebook post on Thursday, Feb. 29. The devices were found by an ATM mechanic while performing routine maintenance. Egg Harbor Family Loses Pets, Home To Raging Fire
A family in South Jersey lost their home and dog, and possibly their cat, in a raging fire, according to Breaking AC. The fire broke out on the 300 block of Superior Road in the Fountain Lakes Development in Egg Harbor Township at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1. The family and four dogs escaped safely but one dog named Scooby was killed, and a black cat named Zoe remains missing, the outlet reports.
