UPDATE: A now-former New Jersey child services worker who was busted on child porn charges at Newark Airport nearly a year ago also tried to traffic a minor for prostitution, federal authorities said they've learned. Inmate Dies Of Suicide At Cumberland County Jail, Authorities Say
An inmate in the Cumberland County Jail died of suicide earlier this week, authorities said. The 54-year-old man was found unresponsive in his cell around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, according to a release from the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office. Officers and medical staff responded and attempted life saving measures with negative results. An exact cause of death was pending autopsy results. Inmate Dies In Cumberland County Jail: Prosecutor
Authorities are investigating the death of an inmate at the Cumberland County Jail in Bridgeton. On Tuesday, March 1, at approximately 5:32 p.m, Correctional Police Officers from the Cumberland County Department of Corrections discovered a 54-year-old male who was unresponsive in his cell. His death appeared to be a suicide, but the cause is pending autopsy results, according to Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.
