Nearly $6 million in federal infrastructure money will go toward the redevelopment of the waterfront including a new Ferry Terminal in Carteret, federal and local officials announced on Wednesday, June 26. The most iconic part of Atlantic City is getting tens of millions of dollars in upgrades. But many millions more are needed to fully repair the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Atlantic City Gets $20M In Federal Money To Combat Flooding Along Route 40
Atlantic City is getting $20 million to reconstruct and raise Route 40 as it approaches the city to end flooding that makes the major road and evacuation route dangerous during severe weather, federal officials said.
