Falling Tree Limb Smashes SUV, Couple Survives Unscathed
A couple escaped injury when a tree limb fell on their vehicle in Ridgewood. The husband and wife were headed down South Irving Street near Grove Street in their Honda CRV with New York plates when the mishap occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 18. No Injuries Reported In Prius Crash In Ridgewood
A Prius barreled up a brief set of steps at the front of a Ridgewood home Saturday morning. No injuries were reported in the crash at the corner of Grove and South Irving streets around 10:45 a.m. All Points Towing removed the Toyota, which caused limited property damage. Police: Wrong-Way Hit-Run DWI Driver Mounts Ridgewood Sidewalk, Plows Over Parking Signs
An Upper Saddle River motorist was drunk when he drove into oncoming traffic and onto a Ridgewood sidewalk, knocking over parking signs, before his SUV slammed into another vehicle several blocks away, authorities said. One of the damaged signs was wedged into the front bumper of his Kia when police found Kenneth Nelson, 53, several blocks away, Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said.
