FBI: Middlesex Man Tried To Torch Trenton Police Car Following Floyd Protest
Federal authorities seized a Middlesex County man who they said stuffed a rag into the gas tank of a police cruiser and tried to set it on fire during a riot that erupted in Trenton following what had been a peaceful protest over the death of George Floyd. The charge against the Asbury Park Press reporter arrested during Monday's protest will be dropped, authorities said on Tuesday. A South Jersey gym reopened for a second consecutive day Tuesday in defiance of a state order against workout facilities operating during the coronavirus outbreak. And for a second time, police issued tickets to the owners at Atilis Gym. At least one Amazon employee at a Mercer County warehouse reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus, increasing the reported total in New Jersey to three on Monday.
