New Milford PD: Porch Pirate Tied To More Than Dozen Thefts In Town, Bergenfield, Wyckoff New Milford police arrested a porch pirate linked to 10 different thefts in town, as well as others in Bergenfield and Wyckoff, authorities said. Detective Sgt. Nelson Perez was following up Tuesday on a theft from a Boulevard home the day before when he spotted a car that matched one seen on surveillance video in connection with that theft, Detective Lt. Palisades Park PD: Off-Duty Officer Nabs Porch Pirate An alert off-duty Palisades Park police officer nabbed a porch pirate who’d stolen packages from several victims, authorities said. Officer Salvatore Farnese was in his own car Saturday when he spotted Paul R. Bossack, a known offender, in the area of Henry and Highland avenues, Sgt. George Beck said. Farnese kept an eye on Bossack, 38, of Hackettstown, until uniformed officers arrived, Beck said. Police charged him with several counts of theft and receiving stolen property in connection with a series of theft this month and last. He also was charged with driving with a suspended license. …

(Video) Clifton PD Seeks Help Identifying Porch Pirate Clifton police released a video Friday in an effort to find someone who can positively identify a porch pirate who swiped packages while traveling in a commercial van. The Belgrade Avenue package thefts occurred around 11:30 a.m. Dec. 11, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said. The thief was seen getting into and out of a commercial red GMC van with the business name "All Services Construction" out of 131 Moonachie Avenue in Moonachie and a telephone number of 888-327-5066. “The vehicle was not stolen,” Bracken said.
