Bye, Bye, Birdie: State Authorities Accuse NJ Golf Club Of Male-Dominated Discrimination
A male-dominated South Jersey golf club kept women from becoming members, prevented them from owning homes on its property and handicapped those employed there, state authorities charged. As of last July, only three of the Pine Valley Golf Club’s 700 members were women, Acting Attorney General Matthew J. NJ Wins Settlement For Bus Driver Fired For Taking Time To Care For Terminally Ill Dad
Academy Bus Lines must pay a former driver $40,000 for firing him because he took a leave to care for his dying father, New Jersey's top law enforcer said Friday. Tower Management Service – manager of the 237-unit Ivy Lane Apartments in Bergenfield – also has agreed to “significant policy changes” at all 18 of its apartment communities to prevent non-discrimination, particularly against applicants looking to cover their rent with Section 8 assistance, state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said. Tower agreed to …

Boss At Irvington Bus Company Fined $258K For Sexual Harassment
A judge has ordered the owner of an Irvington bus company to pay $258,000 to an employee he subjected to "egregious" sexual harassment, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said in a statement Wednesday. Curtis Horn, owner of Tyce Transportation, hired the woman as a school bus aide in 2010. For the next two years, authorities say, Horn subjected the woman to offensive sexual remarks and propositions, including one incident in which he told her she would "look good in his bed," the Attorney General said. Horn then locked the door to his office with the woman inside, grabbed her and…
