: Upper Saddle River Responders Rescue Unresponsive Man, 58
UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- A 58-year-old Upper Saddle River man wasn't breathing and didn't have a pulse when borough police arrived at his home. Officers Kevin McWilliams and Colin Gurney began CPR and attached a defibrillator as ambulance corps members and paramedics responded, Detective Lt. Edward Kane said. The victim's pulse returned and he was rushed to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, the lieutenant said. He was back at work six weeks later. TEANECK, N.J. -- An off-duty EMT saved the life of a 50-year-old man whose heart stopped beating at the Teaneck Armory -- then left without receiving any credit or thanks. Members of the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps are hoping he'll see this story and contact them so they can offer their appreciation.
