Demarest Students Earn Japanese Langauge Awards

DEMAREST, N.J. --Three juniors from Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest were recently honored with Japanese awards.

Kei Sakayama, NRVHS World Language teacher and James Santana, NRVHS Principal, announced the students received the "Japanese Language and Culture Study Award."

Nathalie Leon, JeeYoon (Jenna) Kim and Na Yeh ( Eileen) Kim attended the award ceremony on March 11 in Cranford and made short speeches about "What I have learned by studying Japanese" in front of other awardees and families. 

This award is annually given to students in NJ to honor their excellent grades and consistent effort in the Japanese program by the NJATJ (New Jersey Association of Teachers of Japanese).
