Cresskill Organizes Internet Safety Seminar

CRESSKILL, N.J. — The Cresskill Middle/High School Home and School Association will present a lecture on internet safety for kids as part of their Parent Education Speaker Series at the Cresskill Middle/High School Media Center on March 30 at 7 p.m.

Sgt. John Cleary of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Task Force will present the lecture on topics including:

  • Understanding potentially threatening and dangerous situations arising from internet usage, including chat rooms, instant messages, e-mail and blogs.
  • Addressing common challenges parents face protecting their child’s privacy online.
  • Discussing online predators, cyber-bullying and sexting.
  • Learn how to recognize if your child might be at risk online

The presentation contains objectionable material and children should not attend. This event is open to surrounding communities and school districts.
