“The only description we have…is that she is a black female wearing a red coat and blue jeans,” Lt. Robert Salerno said earlier today.

The alleged victim said she was accosted while walking in the area of 200 Westminster Place at 1:35 p.m. yesterday.

She said the robber “asked for the victim’s purse and if she did not hand over the purse the suspect was going to hurt her child,” the lieutenant said.

She told police the woman then ran down Westminster Place toward Garfield. No weapons were shown, she added.

Anyone with information about the alleged incident is asked to call Lodi police: (973) 473–7600.
