The victim and the 8-year-old boy – who wasn’t injured – were headed to the stop when she was struck by a Honda mini-van at the corner of Closter Dock Road and West Street just after 7:30 a.m., Police Chief Dennis Kaine said.

She was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with a compound fracture of her lower leg, he said.

The 42-year-old female driver, also from Closter, received several traffic summonses, the chief said.
